A baccarat table can seat up to 14 players. There are also two dealers who hand the payouts to the winning players and collect losing bets from the losing players.

There’s a shoe where shuffled cards from 8 decks are placed and from where the croupier draws the cards for each deal.

Also a  mini-baccarat table is a mini version of the big one and normally seats 7 players. The conduct of the game is still the same, although there’s usually just one dealer for dealing the cards and paying and collecting bets.

Mini-baccarat tables also have lower minimum and maximum limits, and the pace is faster.

Baccarat is a beatable game with a low house edge.

Both the American and European versions of baccarat are late developments of the Italian game called baccara, which means zero in Italian.

The origins of baccara go back to an old Etruscan myth.

The Italian game baccara was popular among French aristocracy during the end of the 15th century.

The American version of the game was introduced to Nevada casinos in the 1950.

In American casinos, baccarat is played in a separated area of the casino, hidden behind velvet curtains.

In baccarat the cards marked 2-9 are their relevant value while 10, Jacks, Queens and Kings are worth zero. An ace is valued at one point. T

The value of the hand is gained by adding the value of the cards together but it is impossible to get a score bigger than 9. baccarat

The player places a bet and then two cards are dealt to both the player and the dealer.

If the player or the banker has 8 or 9 then no more cards will be dealt. The dealer must stand if his score is between 5 and 7. If the player has a 4 or a 5 the banker will be given another card should his initial hand be between 0 and 5 inclusive and he has to stand on a 6 or 7.

The highest score wins in baccarat.
